Welcome to the Jordan River Parkway Marathon and Half Marathon, an enchanting race that winds through one of Utah's most picturesque trail systems. This fall festival on two legs is set against the stunning backdrop of the Jordan River, offering runners breathtaking views and a seamless blend of natural beauty and urban amenities. ### Course Overview The marathon route begins at East Riverfront Pavilion, nestled in South Jordan, UT, where you'll embark on 26.2 miles of paved trails that follow the winding path of the Jordan River for over 40 miles. The half marathon shares a similar scenic journey but covers just under half the distance. As you run through this serene landscape, expect to encounter wetlands teeming with wildlife, picturesque golf courses, tranquil parks, and charming ponds dotted along your route. Passing beneath and above numerous bridges ensures that runners remain on well-marked trails away from vehicular traffic, providing a safe yet exhilarating experience. ### Key Highlights - Fall Scenery: The race takes full advantage of the autumn season, with crisp air, vibrant foliage, and cooler temperatures making for an ideal running climate.
- Well-Marked Trails: Pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals guide runners through every turn, ensuring a smooth journey even in unfamiliar territory. - Aid Stations: Strategically placed along the route are well-stocked aid stations offering Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger gels/waffles, fruit, Swedish Fish, bananas/grapes, and other treats. First aid kits and Vaseline are also available for any unexpected needs. ### Race Day Experience Registration includes a high-quality race shirt that you’ll want to wear long after the event ends, as well as a custom locally made finisher medal.
