Participants will start their journey at dawn in Hamilton's crisp autumn air, weaving through familiar streets before entering the serene waterfront trail for about one mile. The course gently loops back to its starting point via 1300 meters of picturesque paths, ensuring a smooth run with no significant elevation changes. Families and friends line up along the route to cheer on their runners.
This event has grown into more than just a race; it's a cherished tradition in Hamilton’s running community, boasting over 310 participants last year alone. The post-race celebration at Grandad’s Doughnuts is eagerly anticipated—known for its quick-baking doughnuts available within minutes of the start line. Proceeds from these sales support local youth programs and scholarships.
The course covers Bayfront Park before extending onto a tranquil waterfront trail, with race day registration limited to cash payments only. Fees range from $66.94 for adults and $25.99 for kids, with early online registration available until the deadline to secure your spot in this community-focused celebration.
