EpicTrails 10km - Bodden Boo

EpicTrails invites runners to explore the enchanting trails of Erskine under the glow of head torches, kicking off at 7pm from Kilpatrick Drive Erskine (next to Pandemonium Play). This unique evening adventure takes you through lush woodlands and along a serene riverside beach beneath the iconic Erskine Bridge. The route continues into Boden Boo, offering stunning views across to the majestic Kilpatrick Hills.
The run begins in daylight but is designed for runners to experience the transition from dusk into darkness as they make their way through this scenic course. A qualified guide trained in first aid and experienced in leading night runs will accompany participants throughout the event, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey for all involved.
This social running event emphasizes inclusivity; no one gets left behind as the group regroups at various points along the route to ensure everyone stays together. The pace is adjusted according to distance covered and type of run, making it suitable for runners of varying fitness levels. Group sizes are kept manageable to maintain safety standards.
Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, dogs and participants under 18 years old cannot join this event. All runners must bring their own trail shoes and a head torch; additional mandatory kit will be specified in the detailed run brief available closer to the date of the race. Participants without proper equipment will not be permitted to take part.
EpicTrails operates on a non-profit basis, with any funds raised initially covering operational costs before being donated periodically to local charities. Runners are encouraged to notify organizers if they cannot attend and may receive refunds for cancellations given more than 24 hours in advance of the event.
