Ermington Public School - AusBike School Holiday Program

Join us for an exciting bike skills session at Ermington Public School on Sunday, July 19th, 2026. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your advanced techniques, our program offers the perfect environment to build confidence and improve safety.
For beginners, we provide a supportive introduction that focuses on essential riding skills such as balance, control, and handling small obstacles like curbs or tree roots. Participants should be able to ride one-handed for 20 meters and stand up while pedaling without losing control.
Advanced riders can refine their abilities by learning more sophisticated techniques under the guidance of experienced coaches. This session is ideal for those who are already comfortable riding on various terrains and wish to enhance their maneuverability and stability.
The event runs from 10 am to 11:30 am for beginners, followed by an advanced session from 12:30 pm to 2 pm. Both sessions are free of charge as part of the NSW Government's Get Kids Active program delivered in partnership with AusBike.
To participate, ensure you bring a well-maintained bike and helmet, along with comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for safety. A water bottle is also recommended to keep hydrated during your session.
Meet at Ermington Public School on Brush Road near the oval area. Sessions will proceed in light rain but may be canceled due to severe weather conditions; you'll receive an update if necessary.
