About the Event

The Exira Fun Run/5K/10K takes place on Friday, July 3, 2026, starting at 7:45 AM CDT at Exira City Park in Exira, IA. The 10K starts at 7:45 AM, the 5K starts at 8:00 AM, and the Fun Run (1.41 miles) starts at 8:05 AM. The 5K is a loop course on paved streets with varying elevations; the 10K heads south out of town on gravel roads before returning to Exira City Park. NO race day registration will be available this year.

Thursday, July 2, 4:30–6:30 PM at the old Fire Station (north side of Exira City Park)

Trophies to overall male and female of Fun Run, 5K, and 10K
Medals to first three places in each division for all three races
USATF Master's rules honored (40+ men and women eligible for Master's awards)
Participation ribbons to non-medal winners in first two divisions of Fun Run

Proceeds:

All proceeds go to Exira Rec Center Renovation and other community projects
