About the Event

Embark on an unforgettable journey with The "Five Rivers Ultra", a unique point-to-point 100-mile ultramarathon nestled within the picturesque East Anglia region. This third edition promises runners an enchanting experience through the Dedham Vale and Suffolk Coast & Heaths Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where unspoiled landscapes stretch out along signposted National Trail paths.
The route offers a flat and fast course, allowing participants to enjoy uninterrupted views of shimmering estuary waters throughout their run. Over 85% of the trail is comprised of grass or dirt surfaces, providing an optimal running experience with typically good conditions underfoot. The full 100-mile distance circumnavigates five coastal estuaries, while a shorter yet equally stunning 50-mile and 50-kilometer option are also available.
Navigating these self-guided routes is made easier by downloading GPX files from the event website prior to race day. Participants will find themselves immersed in nature’s splendor as they traverse through this scenic coastal terrain, marked with clear footpath signs for guidance.
Licensed and sanctioned under UK Athletics Rules, The "Five Rivers Ultra" ensures a safe and regulated environment for all runners. Additionally, participants have the option to purchase XCover insurance, offering financial protection should unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance on race day.
