Forres Harriers Brodie Castle 10k 2026

Forres Harriers invites you back to the picturesque grounds of Brodie Castle on Sunday, October 18, 2026, for its annual SA License-certified 10k race. The course has been re-measured and is now officially certified as a 10km route, offering runners an accurate challenge across scenic terrain.
Registration opens at 9:30 AM in the castle grounds until 10:45 AM. Participants will receive chip timing with medals or mementos for all finishers. Prizes are awarded to first, second, and third place winners in both male and female categories, along with age category prizes—each runner receives only one prize based on overall precedence.
The race starts promptly at 11:00 AM from the castle entrance road, where a safety briefing will be conducted before the start. Runners are reminded that no headphones of any kind are allowed during the event due to UK Athletics rules and for your own safety; disqualification is immediate if found wearing them.
There are no water stations along the route, so runners should arrive hydrated or bring their own drinks. Course support ends after 90 minutes to ensure volunteer marshals' well-being in cold weather conditions. The race concludes with a dramatic finish inside Brodie Castle's grounds, offering breathtaking photo opportunities for all participants.
Post-race refreshments are available at the castle’s coffee shops (charges apply), and toilets can be found in both the car park and Playful Garden areas. No changing facilities will be provided on site.
To secure your spot among the 400 places offered on a first-come, first-served basis, online registration through Entry Central is required before October 15th or until full capacity is reached. Registration fees are £23 for SA License holders and £26 for non-SA runners.
