Foulées Chartraines: 52nd Edition
Organized by Espérance Athlétisme of Chartres de Bretagne, the annual Foulées Chartraines returns on September 13, 2026. This year’s event will take place in its usual format within the picturesque Parc des Loisirs de Chartres de Bretagne.
The morning kicks off at 9:30 AM with a 5 km race open to runners aged U16 and above (born in or before 2013), limited to 500 participants. This is followed by a 10 km event starting at 10:30 AM for those aged U18 and up (born in or before 2011). Both races wind through the park’s scenic trails, offering runners a mix of road and path terrain ideal for setting personal bests.
Registration begins promptly from 8:30 AM on race day near the starting area within the Parc des Loisirs. Clearly marked signs will guide participants to the dossard collection point where they can also leave their belongings in designated lockers before hitting the course.
The afternoon features a range of youth-oriented events, including “Athletic Awakenings” at 2:30 PM for children born between 2018 and 2020 (covering about 0.8 km), followed by races for U12/U14 categories starting at 3 PM (for those born in 2016-2017, covering approximately 1 km) and a final event for U14/Benjamins born between 2014 and 2015 over 2 kilometers.
In addition to the races, there will be plenty of fun activities throughout the day. The organizers have kept entry fees low this year while ensuring runners are well taken care of with high-quality refreshments at the finish line. While no race-specific prizes will be awarded, participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere filled with family-friendly entertainment.
Registration is available online through HelloAsso and dossards for youth events may be collected up until 15 minutes before each start time. Be sure to arrive early as there’s much to see and do in the park during this lively celebration of running and community spirit.
