Frösö Park Night Trail 2026

Frösö Park Night Trail offers runners three distinct trail options: a challenging 13km route, a shorter 6km course, and a fun 1km race for children. All races start and finish at the back entrance of Frösö Park Hotel.
The event kicks off with the kids' run at 6:00 PM, followed by the 6km race starting at 6:30 PM and concluding with the longer 13km route beginning at 6:45 PM. Each course is marked with reflective markers to enhance visibility in low-light conditions.
The 13km trail descends into a forest path towards Bynäset, circles around Bynäsudden before heading back uphill through the woods and past the large parking area near Bynäset, ultimately leading runners back up to the hotel. The shorter 6km route takes participants down the same initial descent but cuts off earlier at the main park entrance.
Participants can expect manual timing for both adult races, while no official times will be recorded for the children's event. Number bibs are available on race day between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM in the lower lobby of Frösö Park Hotel from its rear entrance.
Post-race refreshments await all competitors at a simple fika station, offering a chance to catch your breath after an exhilarating evening run. For those looking for additional comfort, dry clothes can be stored securely inside or near the hotel before and during the race, but participants are responsible for their own valuables. Hotel facilities also provide shower opportunities with personal towels required.
Registration fees vary based on early sign-ups; adult races cost 350 SEK per person until October 16th, increasing to 450 SEK thereafter. The children's run is priced at 75 SEK before the same date and rises to 100 SEK afterward. Entries open September 23rd and are binding; late entries on race day will be accommodated based on availability.
Participants should note that all activities take place under their own risk, with each runner responsible for bringing a headlamp or flashlight. For those interested in extending the evening's festivities, an Afterrun package is available upon booking which includes either a meat or vegetarian burger and a beer or non-alcoholic alternative served at Restaurang Kava or Frösö Park Spa.
