GIBSIDE WILD NEW YEAR TRAIL RUNS 

Embrace the fresh start of the year with an invigorating trail run at Gibside, located within the picturesque Rowlands Gill countryside. This stunning 18th-century landscape offers runners over 600 acres of meticulously designed gardens, woodlands, and open fields teeming with wildlife.
Choose between a challenging 5-mile route or push yourself further on the exhilarating 10-mile option, both courses weaving through historic landmarks like the Neo-classical Chapel and restored stable block. Keep an eye out for deer as you navigate Gibside's varied terrain, which includes gentle climbs and scenic descents amidst rolling hills.
The event welcomes runners aged 15 and over (for the 5 miles) or those turning 17 by race day (for the longer distance). Canicross enthusiasts are also invited to bring their well-behaved canine companions along for a shared adventure.
Participants will be timed using live chip technology, ensuring accurate results throughout the event. Upon crossing the finish line, all runners receive an exclusive medal and wild deer-themed merchandise as part of their rewards.
