About the Event

Join Gorey Athletics Club for the inaugural Gorey 5K Santa Dash on Sunday, December 6, 2026. Starting and finishing at Gorey Civic Centre, this festive race celebrates over a century of running traditions between Gorey and Courtown.
Participants can look forward to a professionally timed 5K course with plenty of support along the way. The event encourages runners to embrace the holiday spirit by dressing up in their most creative Christmas attire. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the atmosphere, everyone is welcome at this inclusive race.
Early bird tickets are available now and offer limited-time savings. All participants will receive a medal upon completion (while supplies last), with virtual entrants from Ireland receiving theirs by post as part of their entry fee. Virtual runners won't get a race bib or timing chip but can still join the fun remotely.
The event is sanctioned under Athletics Ireland permit number 26/585, ensuring it meets all necessary safety and regulatory standards. Stay tuned for final route details and day-of arrangements closer to the date.
