The Gran Fondo Québec returns to Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures in Quebec on August 15th, 2026. This event challenges participants with a 122 km route through picturesque landscapes by the St Lawrence River and amidst lush natural settings.
Race morning will find runners assembling at the central square of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures before setting off for this demanding journey. The course begins near the town's historic church, meanders past local parks and residential areas, and finally winds its way towards the riverbank. Participants can expect a mix of roads and paths that offer both urban charm and country seclusion.
This event has been running since 2015, attracting over 600 participants annually who come together to support local initiatives. The course itself follows the riverside for much of its length, offering views of greenery and water as far as the eye can see.
