GravelMan Anjou marks the debut of the GravelMan Series in Maine-et-Loire, set to take place from Beaulieu-sur-Layon. This inaugural event invites cyclists to explore the picturesque Anjou region through a diverse landscape that encompasses vineyards, Loire riverbanks, rolling hillsides, and serene rural roads. Situated just an hour and a half away from Paris and a mere 30 minutes from Angers, GravelMan Anjou is organized in collaboration with the Beaulieu Tourisme Animation association and Team GravelMan. The event offers ten distinct formats catering to various skill levels and preferences, including both gravel and road options. The longest route spans nearly 500 kilometers and boasts an elevation gain of approximately 5,000 meters, making it a challenging journey for expert cyclists seeking an adrenaline-pumping adventure. For those looking for a more manageable yet still ambitious challenge, the 350-kilometer option provides around 4,000 meters of climbing over its course. The 200 km route is designed to be an inviting introduction to GravelMan events, featuring about 2,500 meters of elevation gain. This format offers a balanced mix of terrain and distance that allows newcomers to experience the beauty and challenges of cycling in Anjou without feeling overwhelmed. For riders who prefer shorter distances, the event also includes two accessible routes: one covering approximately 120 kilometers with lower elevation gains, and another at around 60 kilometers. These formats provide an ideal opportunity for cyclists looking to enjoy a more relaxed ride while still immersing themselves in the scenic beauty of Anjou. Bringing together cycling enthusiasts from near and far, GravelMan Anjou promises not only a thrilling challenge but also a chance to connect with nature and local culture through its unique blend of terrain and routes.
