About the Event

The Grunt Run, set to take place on November 14, 2026, is an annual community-driven event that offers both a 5K run and a 10-mile walk. This race aims to raise funds for the Augusta University ROTC program while fostering camaraderie among participants in North Augusta, South Carolina.
The event begins at Sharon Jones Amphitheater on Center Street with separate start times: the 10-mile course kicks off promptly at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 5K race starting five minutes later. Both races conclude back at this picturesque venue, allowing runners and walkers to enjoy the scenic surroundings while contributing to a worthy cause.
Registration for The Grunt Run remains open until just before the event begins on November 14th, with online sign-ups available up until 8:55 a.m. that morning. Participants who register by October 16, 2026, are guaranteed an official race shirt as part of their registration fee; additional shirts will be distributed based on availability.
Awards for top finishers in various age categories and overall male and female winners will be given out at the conclusion of each course. The event also features water stations along both routes to ensure runners stay hydrated throughout their journey.
For those interested in participating or supporting this community initiative, packet pickup is available from 7:00 a.m. until race time on November 14th, giving everyone ample opportunity to collect their materials before the start of the races. Should weather conditions necessitate it, there will be a 30-minute delay for both starting times.
