Experience the vibrant running community at Guelph Victors, where adult runners can explore various training programs tailored to different seasons and preferences. Join us from January 8, 2026, for our Winter Indoor Track sessions held every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the warm and inviting University of Guelph Fieldhouse. Transition into spring with our Spring to Fall Outdoor Track program, which kicks off on April 1 at St. James High School track. Enjoy twice-weekly Tuesday workouts starting at 6:00 pm and 6:45 pm, perfect for those who wish to improve their endurance and speed in a scenic outdoor setting. For runners seeking intensity with a social twist, our RWXGV Sunday Long Runs are your go-to sessions. Starting from The Running Works store located on Gordon Street, these runs begin at 8:00 am each Sunday, offering longer distances that challenge both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike. Track workouts are designed to push you through intervals ranging from 200 meters to 1000 meters, all conducted at a pace faster than your anticipated 5K race speed. Coaches will be present to guide participants, ensuring everyone gets the most out of each session with detailed explanations and expert advice on training strategies. Tempo runs are another highlight, offering group runs that range from 8 to 10 kilometers, intended for those looking to maintain a steady pace similar to half or full marathon race conditions. Remember to bring your lights and reflective vests as these evening sessions require visibility safety equipment. Guelph Victors welcomes all adult runners aged 18 and above. For youth programs, visit Royal City Athletics Club instead. If financial constraints prevent you from joining our regular membership, inquire about a free trial period—try us for up to two weeks before committing fully. Introduce yourself upon your first attendance at the track, and seek out coach Colin or any of the club leaders like Karl, Lorraine, Lee, Brian, George, Chelsea, Stephen, Laura, or Brandon. Join Guelph Victors today and discover a community that fosters growth, camaraderie, and personal bests.
