This beloved local race is organized by students from the focus group "Movement and Healthy Nutrition" of NÖMS Haidershofen school, aiming to support a worthy cause. The event offers various categories for young runners ranging in age groups, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to participate and showcase their skills on the track. From mini races designed specifically for toddlers to longer distances suitable for older children, there's something for every aspiring athlete. Starting with the youngest participants, the race begins at 3:00 PM with a mini run for girls born between 2020-2023 covering approximately 200 meters. Just five minutes later, boys of the same age group take their turn on the track. As the day progresses, older children and teenagers step up to compete in longer distances. For those who prefer walking or simply want to support a good cause, there's also a charity walk open for all ages that covers around 1.6 kilometers (one lap). The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the main race at approximately 4:30 PM, which spans an impressive distance of nearly five kilometers over three laps. All proceeds from this year’s HAIHO Run will be donated to Ö3-Weihnachtswunder in Steyr, ensuring that every participant's effort contributes directly towards a meaningful cause. Participants can also make additional donations on-site if they wish to contribute further beyond their entry fee. Registration for the race is open until Thursday, September 10th at midnight via Time2Win. On-the-day entries are possible up to one hour before each event’s start time. Start numbers with transponders will be available from Friday, September 11th starting at 1:00 PM and continuing through the early afternoon. The race takes place on the sports field adjacent to NÖMS Haidershofen school and tennis courts, providing a scenic setting for this community-driven event. Post-race facilities include changing rooms and showers within the Mittelschule NÖMS Haidershofen building nearby.
