Experience the thrill of an overnight century ride on Halloween night, as the Haunted Hundred takes place under the eerie glow of twilight and moonlight. This unique cycling challenge will traverse through the haunted landscapes of Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York.
The event kicks off at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, from the Adirondack Ultra Cycling Bike Shop located at 160 Broad Street in Schuylerville, NY. The route will wind through some of the most chilling locations in the area, including Bloody Pond and Prospect Hill Cemetery, where you might encounter spectral spirits or ancient secrets.
Participants must ensure they are equipped with proper lighting: a minimum 600 lumen steady white light on their bike’s front is mandatory, while two red lights—one flashing and one steady—must be attached to the rear. A reflective vest or sash should also adorn your upper body for added safety. The ride will cover an arduous 104 miles with a total elevation gain of 3,229 feet over a grueling 13-hour time limit.
The event is presented by Adirondack Ultra Cycling as part of the larger ADIRONDACK ULTRA CHALLENGE series and offers no on-road support. Riders are expected to be self-sufficient, carrying essential supplies such as water bottles, spare tubes, tire levers, and an inflation device. Snacks will be provided at the start line, while pizza or pasta awaits you upon your arrival.
Safety is paramount, so arrive early—by 5:00 PM—to check in, get your bike inspected, and receive a final briefing before the ride commences at 6:00 PM sharp. The sun sets around 5:48 PM, marking the beginning of a night filled with mystery and adventure.
