We invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact as a sponsor of the 3rd Annual Hawaiʻi Walk for Health, taking place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Neal S. Blaisdell Park in Aiea.
What began as a simple community walk has grown into a powerful gathering of people who believe that health means more than physical fitness. As we enter our third year, we are excited to build on the incredible momentum of the past two events and create an experience that is bigger, more engaging, and more impactful than ever before.
Today, many of us carry burdens that cannot be measured by a blood pressure reading or a step counter. Families face rising costs of living and housing insecurity. Communities around the world continue to be affected by war and humanitarian crises. Many struggle with concerns about government accountability, economic uncertainty, workplace challenges, and the future opportunities available to the next generation. These realities affect our collective well-being, our mental health, and our sense of hope. That is why we walk.
Why We Walk:
The Walk is designed to be accessible and welcoming to everyone. Participants will enjoy a well-marked route on mostly flat terrain suitable for beginners, families with children, kūpuna, and individuals with reduced mobility. Along the course, participants will encounter inspirational and educational signs, community messages, support stations, and opportunities to connect with organizations working to strengthen our communities.

The Hawaiʻi Walk for Health is hosted by five community-based organizations — the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawai‘i (UPAAH), the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON), Hawaiʻi Filipinos for Truth, Justice, And Democracy (HFTJD), the Hawai‘i Workers Center (HWC), and the Hawai‘i Public Health Institute (HIPHI) — this walk raises awareness and funds to support initiatives around health, immigrant rights, workers' advocacy, and cultural education.
Together, we are committed to promoting health, wellness, civic engagement, cultural awareness, and community empowerment throughout Hawaiʻi, along with our new partners this year
The Walk is an “easy” well-marked trail, mostly on grass on a flat terrain that is suitable for everyone, including beginners, children and even those with reduced mobility. It will be a pre-determined lap with a quarter mile distance within the park with guided signage and support stations along the way.
