From June 4 to 6, 2027, the picturesque village of Maria Alm will transform into an epicenter for trail runners and adventure seekers with the HK Trail Series. Nestled amidst stunning alpine landscapes, this multi-day event offers a range of distances catering to all levels of endurance athletes. The centerpiece is the HK70, stretching over 71.5 kilometers with nearly 4200 meters in elevation gain—a true test for those who push their limits on challenging terrain. For runners seeking panoramic vistas and less mileage, the HK48 offers a scenic route at 48.6 kilometers long, showcasing breathtaking mountain views. The HK30 EXTREME takes participants through rugged high-alpine trails around Steinernes Meer, covering 34 kilometers with over 2700 meters of elevation gain, while the more moderate but equally captivating HK30 PANORAMA spans 30.7 kilometers and ascends to a total of 2050 meters. For those who prefer speed combined with high-altitude thrills, the HK20 is an ideal choice at just under 21 kilometers with around 1000 meters of elevation gain. The compact yet varied route of the HK-SPRINT, measuring only 9.2 kilometers and climbing to a modest 350 meters, provides an excellent introduction for beginners. The RAIFFEISEN TEAM TRAIL challenges three-person teams in a fast-paced race covering just over 4 kilometers with slight elevation changes, designed as an action-packed fun run through the scenic trails of Maria Alm. Meanwhile, the VERTICAL RACE is a vertical ascent to the summit of Lauskopf, clocking in at about 6 kilometers and climbing nearly 1100 meters straight up. Rounding out the event calendar are the MINI-ULTRAKS for young trail runners, offering distances from half a kilometer to over one and a half kilometers. This series promises an unforgettable experience with stunning alpine scenery, challenging terrain, and the camaraderie of fellow endurance enthusiasts in Maria Alm.
