Experience the vibrant spirit of autumn at the 2026 Fall Faire Festival Run, scheduled for September 5th in the picturesque town of Kewanee, Illinois. The race begins from the historic Kewanee YMCA, situated on West First Street, offering a variety of distances to suit all participants.
Race morning will present cool and comfortable conditions with temperatures around 20°C – perfect weather for your run. Expect firm and dry ground underfoot, ensuring smooth and safe passage through the course. Minimal rainfall is anticipated, so expect clear skies and sunshine throughout the day.
This event has been a cornerstone of Kewanee’s community since its inception in 1976, fostering local bonds and supporting scholarships with participant fees. It draws hundreds each year, creating an energetic atmosphere as runners and spectators unite to celebrate this beloved annual tradition.
The course meanders through familiar city streets and parks, providing a flat surface that caters well to all levels of fitness. Clear signage guides participants from start to finish for ease of navigation. For younger athletes or those seeking a shorter distance, the 1/4 Mile Kids Fun Run (ages 7 and under) is available.
On race day, steady temperatures will hover around 20°C with a slight humidity level of 65.5%. A gentle breeze at an average speed of 10.7 km/h adds to the dynamic atmosphere without disrupting your run. Bright sunshine and occasional cloud cover will accompany you as you traverse Kewanee’s scenic routes.
The Fall Faire Festival Run offers three distances: a 1-Mile Run/Fitness Walk priced at $23.15, a 4-Mile Run costing $33.75, and the free 1/4 Mile Kids Fun Run for participants under seven years old.
