About the Event

The Lincoln Track Club invites runners of all ages to join its 26th annual Holiday Run on December 6 at Pioneers Park. This festive race supports the Capital Humane Society, raising funds for their vital work with dogs and cats in the community.
Participants can choose between a one-mile run starting at 10:00 AM or a five-kilometer event beginning shortly after at 10:05 AM. Both races offer an opportunity to wear your most festive gear while supporting a worthy cause. Don’t forget to bring along your furry friends; photos shared on the Lincoln Track Club’s Facebook page with #RunForBowWowsAndMeows could earn you prizes.
Packet pickup for race participants will take place at Lincoln Running Company on December 5 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During this time, runners can also drop off donations for the Capital Humane Society and learn about items needed during the holiday season by clicking here. Kids who participate in the Grand Prix race will receive a special gift at packet pickup.
The Holiday Run is more than just a race—it’s an event that brings together the community to celebrate the joy of running while making a difference in the lives of animals. So, lace up your shoes and get ready for a day filled with fun, exercise, and goodwill.
