About the Event

The Hollybank Eccup 10 & 5 Mile Races return to Leeds with an exciting collaboration between the local community and The Hollybank Trust. This annual running event offers runners of all levels a scenic journey through picturesque country lanes surrounding Eccup Reservoir.
Participants in the 10-mile race will traverse winding roads that showcase the beauty of Yorkshire's countryside, making it one of the city’s most beloved long-distance races. For those looking for a shorter distance, the 5-mile route offers an abbreviated version of the longer course, ensuring both events provide stunning views and challenging terrain.
Race proceeds are generously donated to The Hollybank Trust as well as Abbey Runners' chosen charity for 2026, The Hygiene Bank. Entrants have the option to contribute additional funds or purchase a high-quality technical T-shirt for £8 upon registration.
Prize awards include cash prizes of £100 each for breaking either the men’s (50:36) or women's (56:26) course records, currently held by Yohanes Ghebregergis and Tracey Morris respectively. The 10-mile race also features individual prizes for both male and female runners in various age categories, as well as team awards based on the performance of club members.
Race day registration takes place at Hollybank Race HQ where participants can collect their numbers before heading out to enjoy a memorable running experience among the lush landscapes of Eccup Reservoir.
