This beloved Yorkshire race offers an enchanting blend of spookiness, fun, and scenic trail running for all levels. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, there’s a distance that suits everyone—from 1 mile to ultra-marathon. The event takes place on October 31, 2027, with various distances beginning at different times throughout the day. The course is flat and scenic along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, making it ideal for both beginners looking to conquer their first race and experienced runners aiming for personal bests. Choose from several routes: - 5K & 10K: Both start at 10:00am. - 10 Miler and Half Marathon: Start times are 8:30am and 9:00am respectively, offering ample time to enjoy the course's flat terrain without worrying about elevation changes. - For those seeking a challenge, there’s also a 20 Miler, Marathon, and even an Ultra Marathon all starting at 8:30am. - A special treat for families is the Ghostly 1 Mile Fun Run, which starts at 4:30pm. The race route winds through picturesque landscapes, featuring feed and drink stations every three miles to keep you energized. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes—show off your creativity and win spot prizes! Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be greeted with bespoke medals and a variety of spooky treats, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to this already festive event. Registration takes place at ///shout.rally.loaf starting from 8:00am. Plan for ample time before the start as there’s no parking available at the venue; Morrisons car park is recommended nearby with car sharing strongly encouraged. Remember, headphones must be bone-conducting or one-in-one-out earbuds to ensure safety on this cup-less event where runners are asked to bring their own reusable bottles.
