Hudson Valley's 21st Annual Tour de Kingston and Ulster
About the Event
Experience the vibrant landscapes of Ulster County as you take part in Hudson Valley's Tour de Kingston and Ulster on September 12, 2026. The event kicks off early with an array of routes tailored to every level of cyclist. Begin your day at 8:30 AM with a choice between two fully paved road rides – the 33-mile route or the grueling 50-mile challenge. Both will take you through picturesque countryside, offering stunning views and smooth riding surfaces. For those seeking less intense options, there’s also an 16-mile rail trail ride starting at the same time. The flat and free 5-mile family fun ride is perfect for beginners or young riders, set to begin just half an hour earlier. The event spans a wide range of distances to ensure that everyone finds their ideal route. Whether you’re looking to test your endurance on the longer routes or simply enjoy a leisurely spin through the rolling hills and scenic trails, there’s something here for every cyclist. Post-ride festivities include rest stops along the course, SAG support, and a post-ride lunch where participants can mingle and share their experiences. A raffle adds an extra layer of excitement to your day. Safety is paramount at this event. Helmets are mandatory for all riders, and minors under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. On-site registration will open from 7:30 AM in the Forsyth Park Pavilion with fees of $75 per adult and $15 for youth/student participants (under 21) who present valid student ID. Parking can sometimes be challenging, so arrive early to avoid delays. Volunteers at the park entrance will direct you to available spaces nearby. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie, scenic beauty, and rewarding cycling experiences in Ulster County!

About Kingston
Learn more about the host city, Kingston.
Kingston is a city in New York's Hudson Valley, 91 miles north of New York City and 50 miles south of Albany. It is the county seat of Ulster County and was the first capital of New York state. It was ransacked and burned by the British during the American Revolution in 1777 but has preserved its historical buildings very well from then on, and a few older buildings still exist on Green Street and some other places in the Stockade Historic District. Due to the size and beauty of its historic zones, Kingston is probably one of the best cities in the state for a 1-to-3-day trip if you are a fan of 18th- and 19th-century American architecture.
