Pedal into two days of exhilarating mountain biking at our grassroots festival, blending enduro and downhill racing. Day one kicks off with an engaging enduro race featuring 3 or 4 stages from the same starting point, allowing riders to enjoy a simple yet competitive format without the pressure of strict rankings. The day is filled with tunes, trick competitions, and games in the lively campsite area. The second day transitions into downhill racing, where anything goes—from e-bikes to enduro bikes—encouraging creativity and camaraderie among participants. This grassroots-style DH race eliminates the need for uplifts; riders can tow each other up hills with e-bikes or pedal their way back to the top. The track is gravity-focused but fair across all bike types, ensuring a thrilling descent where speed reigns supreme. Throughout both days, non-racers are welcome on trails not used by competitors and can enjoy spectating and riding alongside the action-packed event. Camping facilities are available at the bottom of the hill for racers, spectators, and casual riders, complete with parking, vendor stalls, e-bike charging stations, mountain bike games, and rig displays. Safety is paramount: all participants must wear full-face helmets as per Cycling Ireland regulations, while junior riders under 18 also require spinal protection and gloves. Competitors aged 12 to 14 need a guardian present for registration and consent forms. Valid Cycling Ireland licenses are required, with no one-day license option available. Join us this August bank holiday weekend for an unforgettable mountain biking experience that caters to all levels of riders, from seasoned pros to enthusiastic beginners. With support from our sponsors A-Line Tec, Rhathigan & Hick, Cast, Ride MTB, and Meredith Construction, we're excited to offer a chance at refunds through XCover should unforeseen circumstances prevent your attendance. Experience the buzz, challenge yourself on varied terrain, and immerse in an atmosphere that celebrates mountain biking's spirit. See you there!
