This epic journey spans over 246 miles of diverse terrain, offering an unparalleled challenge that will test your endurance and resilience. The race commences on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at Red Wheel Bike Shop in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Participants must arrive by 8:00 AM to register and sign-in, with the race starting precisely at 9:00 AM sharp. You'll navigate through a mix of single-track trails, pavement roads, and gravel paths—each segment designed to push you to your limits.
The route will take you north from Jefferson City to Macon, Missouri, before circling back for a thrilling return journey. While the exact path is still being finalized, an official map was posted on RidewithGPS.com as of August 1st, and participants were notified via email. The race promises a diverse landscape that includes scenic views and challenging sections.
You'll need to bring all your supplies since there will be no aid stations along the route. Ensure you are well-prepared for potential inclement weather or unexpected obstacles by packing everything from food and water to appropriate clothing and gear.
Drafting is allowed, but remember to follow strict rules regarding littering; every participant must use a front and rear light at night. You can secure accommodations before the race begins, whether through motels, AirBNB rentals, VRBO listings, or camping sites—just be mindful of local laws.
The event welcomes all types of bikes, from gravel bikes with 45mm tires to mountain bikes equipped with drop bars. Aero bars and super aero helmets are also permitted. Sock height is not restricted, offering flexibility in your gear choices.
Navigating the route requires careful attention; if you deviate, you must re-enter at the last point of entry. Support services are available throughout the event—friends, family, or even vehicles can assist with food and shelter needs. However, please note that a cut-off time does not apply; completing within 72 hours is merely recommended.
Safety is paramount, so all participants are required to carry a Spot Tracker for both personal tracking and emergency assistance. Should you face difficulties during the race, SAG drivers will provide support back to the finish line.
