Irchester Spooktacular

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Irchester Country Park for an unforgettable night-time running experience during Halloween. The event features two exciting options: a 5k run and a shorter, family-friendly 2k Fun Run.
The race takes place under the glow of twilight on well-marked woodland trails within Irchester Country Park. Participants will encounter costumed characters along the way—witches, wizards, goblins, ghosts, and ghouls—who are there to cheer you on and keep you motivated.
Upon crossing the finish line, all runners receive a specially designed 'Irchester Spooktacular' medal as well as a bag of Halloween-themed chocolates. Free event photos will also be available for download shortly after the race.
Registration begins at 5:00 PM in the Royal Meadow on the day of the event, and start times are scheduled for 6:00 PM (2k Fun Run) and 7:00 PM (5k Race). The race is open to runners aged 11 years or older for the 5k distance and 4 years old for the 2k route. Children under these ages must be accompanied by an adult.
For safety, all participants are encouraged to wear a head torch due to low visibility during nighttime conditions. Professional first aid will be available at both the start and finish lines, ensuring that medical assistance is accessible throughout the park if needed.
This event supports several local charities including the Jubilee Foodbank in Market Harborough and the Weston Favell Centre Foodbank in Northampton. Runners are given the opportunity to make a donation during registration to help those in need.
