JBLM Fields of Friendly Strife Commanders Cup 2 Miler
About the Event
Step into the heart of military camaraderie and competition with the Fields of Friendly Strife (FoFS) Commanders Cup 2 - Miler on Friday, September 25, 2026. This event invites Active Duty Service Members assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) to represent their units in a spirited race that combines fitness with team spirit. The FoFS Commanders Cup 2 - Miler is an out-and-back course along Liggett Avenue, known for its flat and fast terrain. Participants will have the opportunity to earn mileage points not only for themselves but also for their Company/Flight or Battalion/Squadron. The top two teams in each category and the top three individuals in various age groups will receive recognition. Registration is free of charge and can be completed either online by Monday, September 21, 2026, or on race day at the MWR Fest Tent from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM. Race-day registration offers a final chance for those who haven't yet signed up. The event kicks off promptly at 7:00 AM with an energetic start along Liggett Avenue. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each of five age categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. Joint Base Lewis–McChord (JBLM) is a U.S. installation located 9.1 miles (14.6 km) south-southwest of Tacoma, Washington, operated by the United States Army. The installation is an amalgamation of Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base, which merged on February 1, 2010, to form a joint base as a result of 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission recommendations. JBLM is home to I Corps and the 62nd Airlift Wing.
