Julita Duathlon

On October 3, 2026, Sweden's duathletes will converge on the heart of Sörmland for an unforgettable day at Julita Duathlon. Hosted by Julita Gård, this prestigious competition is set to crown national champions in a unique setting that blends speed, strategy, and endurance.
The event kicks off with a 5-kilometer run along a fast and spectator-friendly course around the picturesque grounds of Julita Gård. Participants then transition into their cycling gear for a challenging 30-kilometer ride through the scenic roads surrounding Lake Öljaren. The cycle route is on public roads, open to traffic but not permitting drafting between competitors.
After navigating the varied terrain and stunning landscapes during the bike leg, athletes will return to Julita Gård with an exhilarating final 5-kilometer run back to the finish line under the grandstand at the estate's main building. The race promises a mix of fast-paced running on smooth surfaces and rigorous cycling through diverse countryside.
Competitors can vie for top honors in several categories, including Swedish Masters Championships (Elite) and Regional Masters titles across various age groups. To participate, athletes must be 18 years or older by the end of the year.
Prize money is available to the top finishers: $6000 for first place, $5000 for second, $4000 for third, $3000 for fourth, and $2000 for fifth. The event is part of a larger celebration known as Julita Loppet, featuring multiple races throughout the day along with family-friendly activities.
This year's edition also includes free running technique courses organized by DE Hälsa, aimed at helping participants improve their skills or stay injury-free leading up to race day.
