Sofialoppet 2026

Sofialoppet is a heartwarming 5 km race held annually to honor Sofia Lindkvist and raise funds for cancer research. Scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 18:00, the event takes place in Folkparken Norrköping, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities—whether you prefer running, jogging, walking, or just enjoying a leisurely stroll.
Since its inception, Sofialoppet has gathered significant support from local communities and organizations. Over the years, it has successfully raised nearly 1.5 million Swedish kronor for Cancerfonden and Barncancerfonden through dedicated contributions and sponsorships. This year’s event promises to continue this legacy of generosity while introducing new elements that enhance the overall experience.
Registration fees are set at 200 SEK for adults and 50 SEK for children up to age 15, with an option to donate any additional amount you wish. All proceeds go directly to Cancerfonden or Barncancerfonden based on your preference. The event is organized entirely by volunteers, sponsors, and partners, ensuring that every contribution makes a direct impact.
Participants can look forward to a scenic and easy-to-run 5 km course around Folkparken’s football field, offering beautiful views of the surrounding area. A notable highlight this year will be running along the Five Arch Bridge (Femöresbron), adding an exciting twist to the traditional route.
Registration remains open up until 30 minutes before the race start time, making it easy for last-minute participants to join in and contribute their share towards a worthy cause.
