Junior Herefordshire & Borders Winter XC League 2026-2027

The Herefordshire and Borders Junior Winter Cross Country Series returns for the 2026-27 season, offering young athletes three exciting races across some of the region's most scenic locations. The first race on November 8th takes place at Croft Castle in Croft Ambrey, setting a challenging yet rewarding course through varied terrain.
Designed to cater to different age groups, each race features an out-and-back route with specific turnaround points tailored for U12 (2K), U14 (3K), and U16 (4K) categories. All races adhere strictly to UKA rules, ensuring fair competition under the watchful eye of medical support teams.
Participants can look forward to a spirited morning start at 10am with all age groups racing simultaneously on each event day. The series culminates in February when prizes are awarded based on accumulated times from three events for top male and female finishers across U12, U14, and U16 categories.
Parents and guardians play an integral role by helping out as marshals, allowing them to support their children while enjoying the day's activities. Race numbers must be worn prominently throughout each race, with bibs assigned at the beginning of the season for consistency and identification purposes.
Registration costs £10 per series via Entry Central, open exclusively to affiliated club members within the Herefordshire and Borders Cross Country League.
