The Kendall Mountain Run kicks off in downtown Silverton, Colorado, and takes runners on a jeep road ascent to a final 250-foot vertical scramble at the summit of Kendall Mountain. Towering at 13,066 feet, the summit offers breathtaking views of the town and the majestic San Juan Mountains. Starting at 9,318 feet, participants will tackle the climb, tag the summit, and descend down the backside of Kendall Mountain, linking back to the jeep road before finishing in historic Memorial Park in downtown Silverton.
Make the most of your weekend and experience the true beauty of the San Juans by taking on the Silverton Mountain Duo! Start your adventure on Saturday by running the Silverton Alpine 8 Mile, Marathon, or 50K, then cap it off on Sunday with the historic Kendall Mountain 12 Miler. Three combos are available: Silverton Alpine 8 mile AND Kendall Mountain 12 Mile Silverton Alpine Marathon AND Kendall Mountain 12 Mile Silverton Alpine 50K AND Kendall Mountain 12 Mile Select the Mountain Duo registration option on the Silverton Alpine registration page to tackle both races and receive a discount!
In our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint and preserve the trails, the Kendall Mountain Run will be a cupless event. There will be no paper cups at aid stations, and runners are responsible for carrying their own container. You can purchase an UltrAspire reusable cup during registration or on race day, or simply bring your own! Whether it’s a cup, hydration vest, pouch, or water bottle, we’ll fill it for you at each aid station. Thank you for helping us protect the trails and making race day cup-free!
