Kicking PancreAS™ 5K - Burlington, ON

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kicking PancreAS™ - Burlington, ON, scheduled to take place on November 29th, 2026. This inclusive five-kilometer run/walk will traverse the scenic Burlington Waterfront, offering runners and walkers breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. Participants gather at the waterfront park by 3:30 PM for pre-race check-ins, with a festive ambiance marked by purple gear and glow-in-the-dark accessories lining the course.
This event has established itself as an annual gathering dedicated to pancreatic cancer awareness, patient support, healthcare education, and Canadian research. In its inaugural year of 2025, it attracted over 300 runners, setting new records in both participation numbers and fundraising efforts. This year aims to exceed these achievements by engaging up to 375 participants and raising funds surpassing $48,000.
The course features firm terrain with slight soft sections, ideal for all abilities. Runners will start from the Burlington Waterfront Park, navigate through picturesque city parks, cross a bridge over Lake Ontario, and return to the finish line at the same location. Notable landmarks include the iconic Burlington Marina and vibrant purple ribbon-lined waterfront paths.
Race day begins with check-ins starting from 3:30 PM until just before the 4:30 PM start time. Weather conditions are expected to range between 5°C and 8°C, creating a comfortable environment for outdoor activities. UV levels will be low, ensuring minimal sun exposure risks.
