Erzberg Adventure Days – Run & Walk 2027
Set against the backdrop of Austria’s magnificent Eisenerz Alps, the Erzberg Adventure Days offers an unparalleled experience for runners and walkers alike. Scheduled for July 17, 2027, this event draws a diverse crowd from over twenty nations to scale one of Styria's most iconic landmarks: the towering Erzberg mountain.
The summit climb is no small feat; participants must navigate through rugged mining terraces that ascend steeply towards the peak. Despite its challenging terrain and elevation gain, the journey culminates in a breathtaking panoramic view stretching from the Eisenerzer Reichenstein to the Kaiserschild, rewarding every step with an awe-inspiring vista of alpine splendor.
For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the Erzberg Walk presents a scenic route that mirrors the course taken by mountain runners. With its gentle average incline of 6%, this option caters to walkers seeking both adventure and natural beauty without the intense physical demands faced by the competitive runners.
