La Chouette Alleuzienne 2026

The charming village of Bazouge des Alleux is set to light up once again for the sixth edition of the Chouette Alleuzienne, an enchanting night race that promises adventure and camaraderie. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes in a festive and rustic atmosphere, this event features two captivating courses: one at 8 kilometers and another stretching over 16 kilometers, both designed to challenge runners through varied terrain under starlit skies.
In addition to the races, participants can enjoy a scenic night walk of 5.5 kilometers that offers an opportunity for those who prefer a more leisurely pace or simply want to take in the beauty of this quaint village after dark. The courses are predominantly composed of trails and paths, covering about 95% off-road terrain with slight revisions made for this year's event.
The race starts at Salle des Fêtes on Rue Michel Chaudet where runners can collect their bibs from 4:00 PM onwards. Departure times vary by distance: the longer route begins promptly at 6:00 PM, followed closely by the shorter course starting at 6:30 PM, with both courses concluding around the same time as a night walk that departs simultaneously.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be greeted not only by warm cheers but also treats such as sausage sandwiches and hot mulled wine to keep spirits high. These refreshments follow a traditional end-of-race aid station where participants can replenish their energy before heading home or exploring more of Bazouge des Alleux.
For those who need medical clearance, the Prevention Health Path (PPS) serves as an acceptable alternative to obtaining a doctor's note for participation in this event.
