La course au homard

Join us for the inaugural edition of La Course au Homard, set to take place around La Baule Airport on September 5, 2026. Gather at Avenue du Breton where you'll find the race village and starting lines for all three events.
The event kicks off with the Petite Crevettes Race, a fun one-kilometer run tailored for children aged seven to thirteen, setting them up for success from an early age. This family-friendly event promises refreshments upon arrival and awards for both boys and girls in each category, making it an exciting day out for young athletes.
For those looking for a bit more distance, the 5 km race offers participants a scenic route around the airport grounds with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. At just €12 to enter, this event provides refreshment stations at the finish line and medals for the top three male and female runners overall.
The highlight for seasoned athletes is undoubtedly the 10 km challenge, priced at €15 per entrant. This race takes competitors on a more extensive journey through La Baule's picturesque countryside, with water stops conveniently placed every five kilometers to keep racers hydrated throughout their run. The event concludes with awards presented to both men and women in first place overall.
