La Drômoise, an unmissable highlight of the cycling calendar in France, takes place over the third weekend of September. This prestigious event stands out among the top ten cyclosportives in the country for its unique blend of athletic and artistic experiences. This year's edition offers 14 different cycling routes, including a new addition featuring mountain biking on VTT (all-terrain bicycles) starting from 2026. The weekend is also packed with cultural events, culminating in "L'Echappée des Rues," which will bring together more than two dozen performances and art installations. Organizers are committed to making the event accessible by offering flexible registration options: participants can choose between a standard entry fee or one that includes an official race jersey. Additionally, members of the Fédération Française de Cyclotourisme (FFC) enjoy discounted rates compared to non-members, further encouraging participation across all levels. With nearly 4000 cyclists expected over three days, La Drômoise spans diverse landscapes including the Baronnies Provençales on Friday and Saturday in the Vercors region. The main event takes place Sunday in Diois, where riders can choose from timed routes of 78km, 115km, or 135km, alongside a range of non-timed options for recreational cyclists. Electric-assisted bicycles are welcome on all circuits except during the formal race events. About Die
Learn more about the host city, Die.
Die is a village of 4,700 people (2018) in Drôme. Tourists come during the summer, especially from the Netherlands and Belgium, to use the camp sites around the Drôme valley. In winter, the tourists come from the surrounding regions to do winter sports at the Col du Rousset ski station.
