On October 18, 2026, the BREST NORDIQUE CLUB invites you to participate in "La Nordic Brest" at the Cavale Blanche Sports Center. The race will traverse through various scenic locations including the Cavale Blanche sports center, Forts of Questel and La Villeneuve, Quéliverzan's ramparts, and parts of Penfeld’s riverside paths across both Brest and Guilers communities. The event features two distinct races: a 13 km Marche Nordique Chronométrée (MNC) with two loops, offering a total elevation gain of just under 40 meters. The race will begin at 10:30 AM. For those seeking an alternative route, there's also a 7.5 km pedestrian walk that can be extended to up to 13 kilometers; this starts from 8:45 AM and allows participants the option of jogging. Points of interest include designated rest stops available throughout the course for hydration and refreshment needs. The club encourages runners to bring their own reusable containers as part of its eco-friendly initiative. "Brest Nordic Club" is committed to hosting an original, festive, popular, and family-oriented event. However, pets are not permitted on-site. The Challenge Marche Nordique 29 includes this MNC race within a larger series created in 2023 by the Finistère Departmental Athletics Committee. Participants can secure their bibs from 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM at the table tennis space, with identification documents required for verification. For those without an FFA license, a PPS document valid within one year of event date must be obtained via the FFA website and uploaded onto Klikego. Licenses can also be submitted by email to lanordicbrest@gmail.com for licensed participants. Randonnée registration will open from 8:40 AM until 9:45 AM, with payment options available on-site in cash or through pre-registration online at Klikego.
