La Nordique de Lorient 2027

The Nordique de Lorient, set for March 20, 2027, marks the sixth edition of this prestigious Nordic Walking event organized by the Lorient Athletics Club (LAC). This race offers enthusiasts and seasoned competitors alike a unique opportunity to experience the rich tradition and exciting atmosphere of Nordic walking.
Participants can look forward to an early morning start with an initiation workshop from 9:30 AM, designed for both beginners and those looking to refine their techniques. At precisely 10:30 AM, the open walk begins, covering a scenic route of 9 kilometers. For those seeking more intense competition, two Nordic walking competitions in circuits are scheduled at noon—10 kilometers and 15 kilometers respectively.
The event welcomes all participants regardless of experience level. The open walk is open to individuals holding the Parcours Prévention Santé (PPS) certification, while the MNCC (Marche Nordique Compétition Circuit label National) events require this certification for competition qualification. These competitions are integrated into the French Federation of Athletics' Marche Nordique Tour 2026/2027 and qualify participants for national championships.
The event also features a mixed-gender start, with elite athletes competing in a special category as part of the Ligue de Bretagne challenge. The course design ensures an engaging experience, combining urban landscapes with natural beauty to provide runners with memorable scenery throughout their journey.
Restoration services will be available continuously during the race, ensuring that participants can refuel and rehydrate at key points along the route.
Registration fees are as follows: the open walk costs 5.50 euros plus a 0.50 euro registration fee. For MNCC competitors who are FFA (Fédération Française d'Athlétisme) members, early bird pricing is available until March 10, 2027—16.20 euros including the 1.20 euro registration fee; after this date, the cost increases to 20.20 euros with a corresponding increase in the registration fee to 1.20 euros. Non-FFA members pay 18.20 euros (including 1.20 euro for early bird) or 22.70 euros thereafter.
