Scheduled for September 27th, this inaugural Ultra Trail event promises a unique blend of natural beauty, historical intrigue, and thrilling challenges. The course winds its way through the heart of one of France’s most picturesque areas, featuring deep forests, towering cliffs, hidden caves, and majestic châteaux perched high above the valleys. This diverse terrain offers an experience that is both physically demanding and visually captivating, with panoramic views at every turn. Competitors can choose from several distances to suit their preferences: - A challenging 80km route (with a total elevation gain of 1600m) for seasoned ultra runners. - An intermediate option of 30km either solo or as part of a two-person relay team, featuring an ascent of 580 meters. - For those looking to enjoy the scenery without pushing their limits too far, there’s also a scenic 12km route (with 280m elevation gain). The trail itself is marked by steep paths, forest-lined trails, and winding streams. Each step offers not only physical exertion but also sensory delights as participants explore ancient geological formations and the rich history of this region. To ensure all runners can fully enjoy their experience without logistical worries, shuttle services will be available to transport them from designated meeting points to the start line and back at the finish. After crossing the finish line, competitors are invited to relax with a warm meal served under the shadow of one of the area’s iconic châteaux.
