Since its inception in 2016, the Octobre Rose event has grown into an inspiring community effort that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Over the past decade, this human-centric initiative has brought together thousands of participants across various locations within our region, including Gueugnon, Digoin, Paray le Monial, and Charolles. This year marks the second-to-last edition in Bourbon Lancy, a fitting conclusion to an incredible journey.
The event features both a run and walk option open to all ages and skill levels. Participants can choose between two engaging routes: a 5.7-kilometer course that winds through the heart of Bourbon Lancy's charming streets. The route is designed with accessibility in mind, making it suitable for those using wheelchairs or strollers, as well as allowing leashed dogs to join their owners.
To celebrate this special occasion and encourage more individuals to take part, the first 1000 registrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt featuring unique artwork dedicated to the cause. This event not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of community support and solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
