Lake Area Tech Alumni Association 5K Run/Walk

On Saturday, October 3rd, Lake Area Technical College hosts its annual run/walk event at the picturesque campus located at 1201 Arrow Ave NE in Watertown, South Dakota. This community-oriented race welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to enjoy a scenic course while supporting a great cause.
Registration is open until October 1st at 11:59pm with early bird discounts available for those who sign up by September 24th. Early registrants will receive a commemorative shirt on race day, but any registrations made after this date can pick up their shirts once they arrive on campus. The registration fees are $20 from August 3rd to September 24th and increase to $25 thereafter for the general public.
Lake Area Tech Faculty/Staff members and alumni receive a special rate of just $15, while current Lake Area Tech students can register for free with their promo code and valid ID. Additionally, children aged twelve years old and under are welcome to participate at no cost.
The event kicks off with check-in from 8:00am until 8:45am in the Student Center on campus. The race begins promptly at 9:00am, offering participants a chance to explore the serene surroundings of Lake Area Technical College as they run or walk along its well-maintained paths.
While pets and wheeled devices such as roller blades and bicycles are not permitted for safety reasons, runners and walkers can look forward to an enjoyable experience without these distractions. All proceeds from this event will support the Lake Area Tech Alumni Association in their ongoing efforts to foster a vibrant community of learners and professionals.
For those interested in sponsoring the race, opportunities range from Gold Sponsorship at $500 (which includes a large logo on event shirts and social media recognition) down to Bronze Sponsorship at $100. Interested sponsors should contact the Lake Area Tech Foundation directly via email or phone by September 17th for their logos to be included in shirt production.
