Le Défi de La Pierre

Join us on September 20, 2026, for the third edition of Le Défi de la Pierre at Herbignac's Clarté Quarry. This unique sporting and charitable challenge offers participants an unforgettable experience amidst the stunning natural beauty of this extraordinary location.
The event features five distinct courses designed to cater to various age groups and fitness levels:
- The 16 km Trail (starting at 9:30 AM) takes runners through a mix of quarry terrain, forest paths, and road sections. This challenging route offers spectacular views and an immersive journey into the heart of nature.
- For those seeking a shorter but equally engaging course, there's the 7 km Trail (beginning at 9:45 AM). Participants will navigate solely within the quarry itself, experiencing its rugged terrain up close.
- The Family Fun Race (starting at 12:00 PM) is an accessible and inclusive event for all ages. This easygoing course spans just 600 meters through a specially designed route that ensures everyone can participate comfortably.
In addition to these adult-oriented races, the day includes two exciting events tailored specifically for young athletes:
- The Kids' Race (starting at 12:15 PM) is perfect for children aged 6 to 10 years. This fun-filled 1 km course provides a safe and encouraging environment where kids can enjoy running in a supportive community setting.
- For slightly older participants, the Youth Race (beginning at 12:30 PM) offers a more challenging 2 km route suitable for young athletes aged 11 to 15 years. This race allows teenagers to test their skills and endurance while fostering camaraderie among peers.
All proceeds from Le Défi de la Pierre will be donated to La Chrysalide de l'être, an educational institution in Nantes that supports students with disabilities, as well as the L’Envolée restaurant, which provides employment opportunities for individuals facing challenges.
