Trail Béganne: Discovering the Diverse Beauty of Brittany's Countryside
The Running Club Béganne invites you to experience its inaugural Trail Béganne, set for Saturday, September 12, 2026. Nestled in the picturesque commune of Béganne, this event aims to showcase the stunning natural landscapes and varied terrain that make it a haven for runners seeking adventure.
The trail takes participants on an unforgettable journey through the wind farm area around Béganne, weaving through lush forests bordering nearby communes such as Caden, Allaire, and St Gorgon. The day promises not only challenging runs but also a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie and celebration.
For those looking for a more rigorous challenge, the 15 km route offers an exhilarating experience starting at "Le Tay" and winding through the wind farm's serene environment before dipping into dense forests around three towering wind turbines. This course features a total elevation gain of 360 meters and is limited to 240 participants.
Alternatively, runners can opt for the more accessible yet equally rewarding 8 km route known as "La Bouloterie." Starting from Caden, this scenic path meanders through charming woodlands along the river named after it. With an elevation gain of just 150 meters and a limit of 240 entries, it caters to both beginners and seasoned runners.
Both races start in the afternoon: the longer course departs at 2:30 PM while the shorter one kicks off half an hour later. The event also includes on-site catering and refreshments available from noon until nine o'clock that evening.
Adding to the excitement, local sports personality Benoit Blanchard will be providing commentary throughout the day, enhancing the festive spirit with his engaging presence.
