Litton Birks Fell Race

Litton Birks Fell Race, a challenging 5-kilometer course with approximately 362 meters of ascent, offers runners an exhilarating climb through rugged terrain near Litton, Skipton, North Yorkshire. This year marks the debut of a new route designed to captivate both seasoned and novice participants.
The event kicks off at Queens Arms Pub in Litton, where registration opens promptly at 9:30 AM for those eager to take on this demanding course. For junior racers, the race begins at 10:30 AM, followed by the senior division starting no earlier than noon. Participants can enjoy a hearty meal and refreshments at Queens Arms pub; however, pre-booking is essential due to limited seating.
Race day parking will be available in a nearby field, approximately 300 meters from the start line. Attendees are encouraged to park responsibly and follow marshal instructions for an efficient setup process. Car sharing is highly recommended as it helps reduce congestion and environmental impact.
The race kit includes essentials that participants should bring along and carry during their run: water bottles, snacks, appropriate clothing layers, and any personal items needed for a day in the hills. The terrain demands sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate gear to ensure comfort throughout the ascent.
After crossing the finish line, runners can unwind in the pub's beer garden tent where hot drinks, cakes, and sweets will be served. This event is open to individuals aged 17 years or older for the senior race category.
