Long Haul 100

The Long Haul 100 takes place on Saturday, January 16, 2027, starting at 7:00 AM for the 100 Miler and 10:00 AM for the 100 Furlongs (12.5 miles) at 16000 State Rte 471 in Lakeland, FL. This premier 100-mile trail race is a Western States qualifier and Trail Sisters Approved, taking runners through Colt Creek State Park — one of Florida's most diverse and scenic parks. Wildlife along the course may include alligators, otters, gopher tortoises, and fox squirrels. The 2027 event is sold out (waitlist temporarily closed), but 30 spots remain available in the 100 Furlongs race.

• Middle Lake AS — mile 0.5
• All stations fully staffed with hot and cold food and beverages
• Access to drop bags every loop

• South Loop AS — mile 4.4
• Metal Mark AS — mile 9.1
• 2 fully staffed aid stations

Finisher Awards:

• 100 Miler finishers: belt buckle
• 100 Miler sub-30-hour finishers: WSER lottery ticket
• 100 Furlongs finishers: medal

Pacer Information:

• 100 Miler: pacer may join after loop 3
• Anyone 60 years or older may have a pacer at any time
• All pacers must sign a waiver

Packet Pickup:

• 100 Miler: Friday, January 15, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM at pavilion near Mac Lake
• Friday: optional pre-race meeting at 5:00 PM, followed by pizza & pasta dinner
• Race day packet pickup (100 Miler): 5:15 AM – 6:30 AM
• 100 Furlongs participants: bibs and shirts only available Saturday 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM

Schedule:

• Gates open: 5:00 AM
• Pre-race meeting: 6:45 AM
• 7:00 AM — 100 Miler start
• 10:00 AM — 100 Furlongs start

Parking and Crew Areas:

• Area A (Middle Lake Day Use Area, mile 0.5) — car access, canopies allowed, nose-first parking along tree line. No open flames. Propane heaters/grills allowed.
• Area B (Primitive Group Camping, mile 5.5) — tents/canopies only (no car access). Campfires permitted in firepits (unless burn ban).
• Area C (Open grass lot across from Mac Lake, mile 16.5) — car access, canopies allowed directly behind vehicle. Great for uncrewed runners. Course passes directly by.
• Area D (Paved path at Start/Finish) — canopies after pavilion. Cars must park in designated grass areas across from pavilion on race day. No open flames in parking area or path.
• RVs only permitted in RV campground — must have reservation.
• No parking in paved lot during race (must remain open to public and campers).

Rollover Policy (No refunds):

• 90+ days out: 65% credit
• 30–89 days out: 50% credit
• 10–29 days out: 35% credit
• 0–9 days out: no credit
• Rollovers may only be used once. Credit is not automatic entry — you must register and credit will appear at checkout.
