Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of West Looe on a summer evening with the Looe Summer Run 2026. This charming race, set against the backdrop of picturesque Kilminorth Woods and along the tranquil West Looe Riverside, offers runners an unforgettable experience. The event kicks off at 7pm from the Millpool Centre in West Looe, located just opposite the Millpool car park. Participants will embark on a 6-mile course that meanders through lush woodlands and alongside the serene river, providing breathtaking views throughout their run. Runners start by heading along the Riverside before venturing into Kilminorth Woods via an upper bridle path. They continue to Trelawne Woods for three miles of undulating terrain before descending back towards West Looe on a return route through the lower part of the woods and alongside the river, leading them back to the finish line at Millpool Centre. The course is designed with mild multi-terrain elements that cater to runners looking for an engaging challenge. The race organizers plan to use chip timing for accurate results, ensuring fair competition among participants. Adding a unique twist this year, the Looe Summer Run will award the Challenge Cup—a perpetual trophy—to the first club whose four fastest members cross the finish line consecutively. This cup has been contested successfully in previous years and adds an exciting element of team spirit to the event. To ensure smooth race operations, road closures are planned for both the start and finish areas around Millpool Centre. Participants should park at the designated car park and proceed to collect their race numbers from the Millpool Centre before heading to the starting line. While there will be no changing facilities or bag drop available on-site, all runners who complete the course can look forward to receiving a commemorative memento upon crossing the finish line. The top male and female overall winners as well as the first Looe-based male and female competitors will each receive prizes in recognition of their achievement. Proceeds from this event are directed towards supporting local charities through the efforts of Looe Lions, ensuring that every step taken contributes to a meaningful cause. Join us for an evening filled with scenic beauty, friendly competition, and a sense of community. Don't miss out on being part of another successful year of the Looe Summer Run!

About Cornwall
Learn more about the host city, Cornwall.
Cornwall is a county in the southwest of England. Lying west of Devon from which it is separated by the River Tamar, Cornwall is one of the more isolated and distinctive parts of the United Kingdom but is also one of its most popular with holidaymakers. Its relatively warm climate, long coastline, amazing scenery, and diverse Celtic heritage go only part of the way to explaining its appeal.
