Welcome to the Last One Standing (L.O.S) Endurance Challenge, an invitation to push your limits and discover resilience amidst breathtaking natural landscapes. This unique race unfolds across multiple scenic locations in Spokane, including Reardan Cross Country Track at Seven Mile, Riverside State Park, and Mt. Spokane State Park. The L.O.S is more than just a run; it's a mission to train for adversity and find strength within yourself. The event starts promptly at 7 AM with runners embarking on a grueling yet rewarding journey every hour until the last runner stands tall. Each participant will cover a 4-mile route that includes two laps around a challenging 1.56-mile course, complete with steep climbs and descents totaling approximately 80 feet of elevation gain per loop. Tailwind Nutrition is proud to support this event as an official sponsor, providing Endurance Fuel at the main aid station. This liquid fuel blend satisfies caloric, electrolyte, and hydration needs without compromising digestive comfort—a crucial factor in long-distance events. NeverSecond C30 Energy Gels are also available for sustained energy throughout your run. Runners will face a rigorous schedule, tackling their 4-mile route every hour on the hour until they reach their limit or decide to tap out gracefully. No pacers are allowed, emphasizing self-reliance and personal determination. Upon completion of the challenge, participants receive a coveted Phase One patch as recognition for their unwavering commitment. Aid stations will be strategically placed along the course with essential supplies including water, Tailwind Endurance Fuel, NeverSecond C30 Energy Gels, 1st Phorm protein bars, and energy drinks. These resources are there to support you but also encourage self-sufficiency as much as possible during your run. Participants can start staging their gear on Friday evening after 6 PM in designated areas near the starting line. Personal tents and equipment should be set up along the race route while vehicles must park in front of portable toilets for easy access throughout the event. Registration includes a Phase One Training Tee, with an additional patch awarded to those who complete the challenge. The pre-race briefing takes place at 6:45 AM on Saturday morning near the start/finish line, ensuring all participants are well-prepared and informed about race rules and safety protocols. Volunteers play a crucial role in making this event possible by offering assistance during setup and throughout the day. In appreciation of their dedication, volunteers receive discounts on future Phase One events based on hours contributed: 50% off for six or more volunteer hours and full registration waivers after twelve hours of service. Join us at L.O.S to experience a blend of natural beauty and mental fortitude in one unforgettable endurance race.
