Swansea Promenade welcomes runners back for the 2027 edition of M10 Swansea, featuring both a challenging 10-mile and an invigorating 5-mile route. Set against the backdrop of scenic Swansea Bay, this event offers participants a flat and fast course that is perfect for setting personal bests.
Registration begins at 07:30 AM with all entrants having until 08:45 AM to sign up before race day activities start. A briefing session for the 10-mile runners will be held promptly at 08:50 AM, followed by the start of the race at 09:00 AM. The shorter distance event receives its pre-race instructions and begins just five minutes later.
The course itself winds along Swansea Promenade, a picturesque route that showcases stunning views of the bay while maintaining an easy pace for runners to enjoy their surroundings without worrying about elevation changes or challenging terrain. Along the way, participants will encounter well-marked paths with marshals stationed throughout to ensure safety and provide guidance when needed.
Upon crossing the finish line, all competitors are awarded a commemorative medal as recognition of their achievement. The event also features chip timing for accurate results, water stations strategically placed along both routes, and fully marked courses ensuring runners stay on track without any confusion or delays.
Post-race festivities include an award ceremony at 10:30 AM where top finishers are celebrated, followed by a cut-off time of 11:30 AM to ensure all participants have completed the race safely. The event is licensed and affiliated with Welsh Athletics, adhering strictly to their guidelines including prohibiting headphones during the run for safety reasons.
