About the Event

Experience the thrilling adventure of Mammoth TUFF, held annually in September at the picturesque gateway to mountain exploration—Mammoth Lakes. This year's edition on September 19, 2026, offers three distinct courses designed for runners seeking varying levels of challenge.
The short and medium routes will loop around the iconic caldera, providing breathtaking views and a memorable run through Mammoth’s natural beauty. The long course ventures into the Volcanic Tableland—a rugged terrain shaped by ancient volcanic activity—offering an unparalleled test of endurance and skill.
Organized in partnership with the Village at Mammoth Lakes and included as part of the 2026 UCI Gravel World Series, this event promises a unique blend of competition and camaraderie. Whether you are a seasoned gravel rider or new to off-road adventures, there is something for everyone here.
Self-sufficiency is encouraged but supported by ample supplies at aid stations along each course. Maps will be available, yet having a navigation device on hand can enhance your experience. The event organizers reserve the right to adjust routes based on road conditions and safety considerations leading up to race day.
Mammoth TUFF challenges participants across various categories, including elite riders who must hold UCI licenses and provide their IDs during registration. Age group classifications ensure that all competitors face appropriate competition levels. Adaptive categories are also available for runners with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in this adventure festival.
Merchandise options include free shirts for early registrants (before July 12 at 11 PM PST) or the chance to purchase limited inventory items post-registration deadline.
